2024 General Election Runoff

A runoff election for the Town Mayoral seat will take place on November 26. Voters assigned to Precinct 307 (Miami Lakes United Methodist Church, 14800 Ludlam Rd) will be temporarily assigned to vote at Precinct 308 (Miami Lakes K-8 Center, 14250 NW 67 Ave) for the November 26 runoff election. Overview

The Town of Miami Lakes Public Works Department is committed to providing safe, reliable, and effective services to residents, employees, businesses, and visitors. The Department is responsible for overseeing the operations, maintenance, and improvements of the town’s infrastructure. This includes canal cleaning, street sweeping, litter debris pickup, signs repairs and replacements, sidewalk repairs, roadway repairs, storm drains, street lights, and curbs. In addition, the Department is responsible for the regulation and permitting of construction activities within the town’s Public Right of Way (PROW).

Under the supervision of the Public Works Department, the General Services Division is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all town facilities and fleet. This Division ensures that the town’s buildings and vehicles are well-maintained and functioning efficiently.

The department also receives, investigates, and responds to all service request received from our residents.

Public Works Permit Information

Public Works permits allow construction work in the public right-of-way. A work plan, fees, and a surety to ensure the work is completed are typically required for these permits. Construction within the public right-of-way (ROW) is under the jurisdiction of the Town of Miami Lakes Public Works Department. The Public Works Department also provides all inspections required by each permit.

The Miami Lakes Stormwater Master Plans are comprehensive plans that aim to manage and control stormwater runoff. To provide adequate levels of service to residents and properties, the Miami Lakes Stormwater Master Plan is designed to provide a decision-making tool that facilitates stormwater improvement and management.
