The Board is empowered to take final action on zoning variance requests. Also, as the designated Local Planning Agency (LPA), the Board makes recommendations to the Town Council regarding rezonings, amendments to the Land Development Code (LDC), and amendments to the Miami Lakes Comprehensive Plan.
