Town Seeks Out Young Leaders to Join Youth Council

January 5, 2023

Miami Lakes, FL – Are you a middle or high schooler looking to make a change in the community? Want to lend your voice to the discussions taking place around town? Do you want to lend your skills to help govern the Miami Lakes Youth Center? Well, you’re in luck!

‘The Spot’ at the Miami Lakes Youth Center—located at 6075 Miami Lakes Dr.—is looking for prospective young leaders to join a dynamic team in the Miami Lakes Youth Council, to bring new ideas and innovation to the residents of the Town of Miami Lakes. The Council will provide members with the opportunities to assume leadership roles, while building valuable skills that will carry them into adulthood. The Youth Center Council will meet monthly to discuss the overall progress of the Youth Center, and discuss ideas for field trip locations, community service events, and future programming.

The application for the Council can be found at miamilakes-fl.gov/youthcouncil, and may be submitted to thespot@miamilakes-fl.gov. For more information, you can call (305)819-7768.
