A runoff election for the Town Mayoral seat will take place on November 26. Voters assigned to Precinct 307 (Miami Lakes United Methodist Church, 14800 Ludlam Rd) will be temporarily assigned to vote at Precinct 308 (Miami Lakes K-8 Center, 14250 NW 67 Ave) for the November 26 runoff election. Town Honors Dorothy Cook with 2023 Arbor Day Ceremony Tree Planting

Miami Lakes, F.L. – The Town of Miami Lake, in collaboration with the Miami Lakes Garden Club, is set to honor the late Dorothy Cook on Arbor Day with the planting of an Oak tree outside of the Mary Collins Community Center (15151 NW 82nd Ave).

A resident of the Town since 1971, Dorothy exemplified was a model citizen, lifelong volunteer, part of the movement to incorporate Miami Lakes, and will forever be remembered as a person with a large heart that cared for her community.
