Town Announces Remote Public Comments Available for Board and Committee Meetings

Miami Lakes, FL – The Town of Miami Lakes has 12 council-appointed volunteer boards and committees that address a variety of issues relevant to the community. The Town boards and committees meet monthly to discuss pertinent business, plan events, and provide recommendations to the Town Council. At the January 2025 Regular Council meeting, Councilmember Steven Herzberg brought forward an item that would allow remote public comments for board and committee meetings, the item was unanimously approved. This new initiative will enhance public participation and ensure that all residents can voice their opinions, regardless of their ability to attend in person.
Starting in March, the community is invited to submit remote public comments at board and committee meetings by following the instructions below:
➢ Online Public Comments:
Members of the public wishing to participate in remote public comments can join the meeting via www.miamilakes-fl.gov/public-comments. You must have a working microphone and working web camera to participate in live-remote public comments. To speak you must raise your hand by clicking on the Reactions icon and selecting Raise Hand. To participate in remote public comments by phone, you may call any of the following numbers:

To speak, you must Raise Hand by dialing *9. This will display the Raise Hand icon on the screen and allow Town staff to recognize you for public comments.
