2024 General Election Runoff

A runoff election for the Town Mayoral seat will take place on November 26. Voters assigned to Precinct 307 (Miami Lakes United Methodist Church, 14800 Ludlam Rd) will be temporarily assigned to vote at Precinct 308 (Miami Lakes K-8 Center, 14250 NW 67 Ave) for the November 26 runoff election. Youth Advisory Board

The Youth Advisory Board was established for the purpose of advising the Town Council on significant and pertinent matters relating to young people within the Town.

Board Details

MEMBERSHIP: The Youth Advisory Board will consist of seven (7) members, who will serve for a 1-year term. Members must:

  1. Be a resident of Miami Lakes
  2. Have an unweighted GPA of at least 2.5
  3. The composition of the board shall have an equal composition of students from the following schools:
    • Miami Lakes K-8 Center
    • Bob Graham Education Center
    • Miami Lakes Middle School
    • Miami Lakes Educational Center
    • Barbara Goleman Senior High School
    • Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School
    • Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High School (City of Hialeah)
  4. Each school may select its representative and submit the Youth Advisory Board application to the Town.
