2024 General Election Runoff

A runoff election for the Town Mayoral seat will take place on November 26. Voters assigned to Precinct 307 (Miami Lakes United Methodist Church, 14800 Ludlam Rd) will be temporarily assigned to vote at Precinct 308 (Miami Lakes K-8 Center, 14250 NW 67 Ave) for the November 26 runoff election. Alert Miami Lakes

The Town of Miami Lakes encourages all residents to sign up for Alert Miami Lakes, our mass notification system. When you sign up with Alert Miami Lakes you can select to receive emergency alerts that affect your area as well as other public alerts issued across the State and Country by other emergency officials.

Blasting Concerns

In 2021, the State Fire Marshal created a website to promote transparency and accountability with respect to enforcement actions against construction materials mining activity that does not comply with Florida law. This website allows you to submit complaints regarding non-compliant construction materials mining activity, and view the status of complaints submitted to the Division of State Fire Marshal regarding construction materials mining activity occurring in Miami-Dade County.

Imagine Miami Lakes 2025

As Miami Lakes continues to “Grow Beautifully,” it is essential for the Town to address aging infrastructure in the short and long term. In the upcoming years, the Town will focus on improving its infrastructure, including sidewalks, street lighting, street maintenance, and parks. Through workshops, the community, Town Council, and staff identified these key areas as needing prioritization.

Special Needs Safety Program

To better serve those with special needs in the community, the Town of Miami Lakes has launched the Special Needs Safety Program. The program is voluntary and open to all Miami Lakes residents with special needs due to mental or neurological disabilities.

Paw Portal

The Town of Miami Lakes first earned City Certification through the Better Cities For Pets™ program from Mars Petcare in 2019 . This recognition showcases the Town’s commitment to creating a pet-friendly community.

Miami Lakes Town Foundation

The Miami Lakes Town Foundation, supported by the Miami Lakes Food and Wine Festival, was created to encourage, foster and provide programs for the literacy and continuing education of the community, as well as develop and implement complementary youth programs, beautification projects, and cultural events to benefit the Miami Lakes community and its citizens.
