The Town of Miami Lakes and its Elderly Affairs Committee will be providing free transportation to Town of Miami Lakes residents 55 years and above, to Miami Marlins Baseball Home Games.

The Town of Miami Lakes and its Cultural Affairs Committee will host the Annual "Paint a Picture for Mom” event just before Mother’s Day on Saturday, May 7th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Miami Lakes Picnic Park West located at 15151 NW 82nd Avenue Road.
Children of all ages will have the opportunity to be creative and paint something special for their moms. Canvas, brushes, and paint will be provided free of charge. This year’s event will also include a Craft and Flower Show.
We welcome all flower and plant vendors to participate. Vendors must be able to provide the following: Proof of applicable licenses, Certificate of Insurance, and $25 vendor fee.

The Town and its Economic Development Committee will be hosting a series of workshops aimed at educating our local business community of the many resources available to them. The next workshop will be held in partnership with CareerSource South Florida on Wednesday, May 25th beginning with registration and networking from 8:30-9:00am and the workshop thereafter.
CareerSource Florida is the statewide workforce policy and investment board. Their partners include the State's Department of Economic Opportunity, 24 local workforce development boards and 100 career centers throughout Florida. Together, they help connect businesses with the talented workforce and training needed to succeed and grow.
