The Town of Miami Lakes and its Youth Activities Task Force invites you to and your family to join the adventures of an orphaned boy named Pete and his best friend Elliot, who just so happens to be a dragon! Disney’s “Pete’s Dragon” is an American fantasy adventure film starring Academy Award winner Robert Redford.

This FREE movie watching event will be held on Friday, December 2^nd beginning at 7:30pm at Miami Lakes Picnic Park West, located at 15151 Montrose Road/NW 82nd Avenue.

Don’t forget to bring your blankets and chairs for a family-friendly evening of movie watching under the stars!

And, be sure to mark your calendars to get in the holiday spirit for the next film in the Bella Mar Real Estate Group’s Movie Series on Friday, December 16^th showing “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” (2000 version).

The Town of Miami Lakes and its Cultural Affairs Committee proudly presents the 16^th Annual Holiday Storytelling at Town Hall’s Council Chambers, located at 6601 Main Street. The FREE holiday event will take place Sunday, December 4^th from 2pm to 4pm.

Don’t let your children miss the chance to meet Mrs. Claus and hear Bob Graham Educational Center’s Chorus perform some favorite holiday jingles!

All attendees will also receive books provided by the Town's Education Advisory Board (EAB). Miami Lakes residents with children under the age of 5 will also have the opportunity to register for the Free Imagination Library Program also funded by the Town’s EAB.
