The Town of Miami Lakes and its Public Safety Committee encourage all local businesses to attend an upcoming workshop presented by the Business Crime Watch of Miami Dade County to learn how to prevent shoplifting and Wednesday, November 16th  beginning at 5:30 PM in Town Hall Council Chambers, 6601 Main Street. 
 
Business Crime Watch was implemented to educate and inform business owners on how to better protect their business and employees. It is extremely important business owners and their employees become educated on loss prevention techniques, especially during the holiday season when businesses tend to be more crowded and identifying thieves becomes more difficult.

The Town of Miami Lakes and its Youth Activities Task Force and Nemo need your help to Find Dory! Please join us for the film about the quest to find one of Disney Pixar’s beloved characters from the original Finding Nemo.
 
This FREE movie watching event will be held on Friday November 18th and will begin at 7:30 pm. It will take place at Miami Lakes Picnic Park West, located at 15151 Montrose Road, NW 82nd Avenue. Don’t forget to bring your blankets and chairs for a family-friendly evening of movie watching under the stars! 
 
Also, be sure to mark your calendars for the next movie for the 2016-2017 Movies in the Park Series on Friday, December 2nd showing “Pete’s Dragon”.

Think you have what it takes to escape the room in 60 minutes?! Join us at The Spot for our field trip to PANIQ ROOM! Use your creative thinking and team work skills to find all the clues you need to escape! Each room has a different theme, which team will be the one to make it our first?! Food & transportation will be provided!  We are meeting at The Spot Saturday November 19th at 9:30am and will be returning back to The Spot at 2:00pm. Our deadline to register is October 22, registration fee is $35.

The Cultural Affairs Committee presents a Classic Film showing event on Saturday, November 19th beginning at 7 PM at Miami Lakes Picnic Park West, 15151 NW 82nd Avenue. 
 
This free event, sponsored in part by Commissioner Esteban Bovo Jr., is perfect for the whole family! Be sure to bring your blankets, chairs and picnic baskets to enjoy this classic 1961 American romantic comedy starring Audrey Hepburn in her portrayal of Holly Golightly.
