Residential Area Speed Limits Reducing to 25MPH: What You Need to Know

March 10, 2023

Miami Lakes, F.L.– Last year, the Town entered into an interlocal agreement with Miami-Dade County to allow town wide residential speed limit reductions to 25MPH. The agreement also allows for the installation of the new speed limit signs.

Within the next several months, you will see the town’s contractor removing the existing 30MPH signs along residential roads, and installing new 25MPH signs. The installation will be completed in phases, with the first phase planned to begin this month, in March 2023.
