Veterans, Education Boards Launch Banner Programs for 2024

January 26, 2024

Miami Lakes, FL – The Town and its Veterans Committee and Education Advisory Board are excited to bring back their banner programs for 2024.

Beginning in May, Miami Lakes Drive will once again be lined with images of local veterans, as well as high school & college graduates.

Class of 2024 High School & College Graduation Banners

In celebration of high school and college seniors, the Town of Miami Lakes and its Education Advisory Board are helping celebrate these incredible achievements. To do this, we are marking street-lights with banners, displayed along Miami Lakes Drive!*

The High School and College Graduation Banner (24″ W x 48″ H) will include the student’s graduation picture, full name, and school name.

Please fill out this form and upload the student’s graduation photo. The cost is $129 per banner. The deadline to submit the form, photo, and payment is April 26, 2024. The banners will be displayed for a period of three (3) months and—at the end of the campaign—the student may pick up their banner for them to keep and cherish.**

Graduation banners are available to:

  1. Students (resident or non-resident) attending a school in Miami Lakes.
  2. Graduating residents of Miami Lakes, regardless of school/school location (For example, an out-of-state university).

Military Tribute Banner Project

The Town of Miami Lakes and its Veterans Committee are delighted to recognize and pay tribute to Miami Lakes’ military heroes for their sacrifice. Thanks to our sponsor Miami Lakes AutoMall, family members and loved ones may now nominate an active duty service member, reservist, veteran, or retired member from any branch of the military to be honored with a street banner with the individual’s name and photo.

To qualify, honorees must be a Miami Lakes resident, a business owner or a veteran that works in the Town. Also, residents and business owners can nominate a veteran or service member of their choice. The banner will be prominently displayed on Miami Lakes Drive*. The deadline to submit completed nomination forms is April 2, 2024.

* Please note that we cannot guarantee, promise, or commit to the securing of a requested location for the banner.

** Town will not confirm orders until a minimum of 30 graduate banners are sold.
