2024 General Election Runoff

A runoff election for the Town Mayoral seat will take place on November 26. Voters assigned to Precinct 307 (Miami Lakes United Methodist Church, 14800 Ludlam Rd) will be temporarily assigned to vote at Precinct 308 (Miami Lakes K-8 Center, 14250 NW 67 Ave) for the November 26 runoff election. Town to Hold Special Election to Fill Council Vacancy

Miami Lakes, FL – The Town of Miami Lakes is holding a Special Election to fill the vacancy of Seat 6 to the Town Council.

On Tuesday, April 9, 2024, residents may cast their votes at the polls during the Special Election to fill the vacant Seat 6 to the Council following the resignation of former Vice Mayor Carlos O. Alvarez. The elected candidate will serve out the remainder of the Seat 6 term, until November 2026.

Candidate qualifying for this election will begin at 12 p.m. noon on Monday, February 5 and end at 12 p.m. noon on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. Find more information on qualifying, including necessary documents, here.

On April 9, polls will open at 7 a.m. and remain open until 7 p.m. Find your designated voting precinct, visit miamilakes-fl.gov/vote.
