"Lock it or Lose it"

Miami Lakes, FL - The Town of Miami Lakes and its Public Safety Committee (PSC) would like to encourage the community to be sure to lock their vehicles and remove any valuables during the holiday season. Removing gifts and shopping bags from your cars, and locking your doors may seem simple enough, but many residents simply forget or get sidetracked due the stress of the holiday season. The theft of your purse, wallet, or documents with sensitive information could also result in identity theft. These crimes can be prevented by simply locking homes, garage doors, windows, and vehicles.

An initiative spearheaded by Councilman Ceasar Mestre, in partnership with the Town’s PSC, “Lock it or Lose it “is an awareness campaign aimed to educate residents about how to prevent these types of crimes.

See something or someone suspicious? Please report incidents at any time to the Town of Miami Lakes Police non-emergency line at (305) 476-5423. We want all of our residents to have safe and happy holidays!
