243px-All-America City LogoThe Town and Council, led by Councilman Many Cid has continued to fight for the past three years the United States Postal Service for a ZIP Code that is unique to Miami Lakes. Most recently, Congressmen Jason Chaffetz and Elijah Cummings sponsored the Postal Service Act of 2016; HR 5714 is a bipartisan bill that includes a section specifically stating that the Town of Miami Lakes should receive an independent ZIP Code no later than September 2017

Miami Lakes ZIP Code Update

Miami Lakes, FL -The Town and Council, led by Councilman Manny Cid has continued to fight for the past three years the United States Postal Service for a ZIP Code that is unique to Miami Lakes. Most recently, Congressmen Jason Chaffetz and Elijah Cummings sponsored the Postal Service Act of 2016; HR 5714 is a bipartisan bill that includes a section specifically stating that the Town of Miami Lakes should receive an independent ZIP Code no later than September 2017.

"Thanks to our good friend, Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart, the Miami Lakes ZIP Code was added into the Postal Service Reform Act of 2016." stated Councilman Manny Cid. "An independent Miami Lakes Zip Code will help reduce our residents’ auto insurance premiums, assist with economic development and the branding of our beautiful Town."
