Miami Lakes, FL -The Town of Miami Lakes is excited to announce that the Miami Dade County Art in Public Places has issued a Call to Artist for the design of a public art project at the Town’s new Youth Center located at 6075 Miami Lakes Drive. Professional artists residing in Miami Dade County are eligible and we encourage Miami Lakes residents to apply. Interested applicants may apply at www.callforentry.org , and search for “Miami Lakes”. All submissions must be received as a complete application by Tuesday, August 23rd.
Art in Public Places, a program of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, serves the community through the implementation of art installations dedicated to enriching the public environment and to preserving and enhancing the artistic and civic pride of Miami-Dade County. Miami-Dade Art in Public Places promotes collaboration and creative art projects that improve the visual quality of public spaces. These public art installations transform public spaces from ordinary civic areas to sites that can lift the spirit and connect with the community. Through Art in Public Places, the Town and County aim at supporting the development of a unique and vital civic environment.
