THE TOWN OF MIAMI LAKES CONTINUES "GROWING BEAUTIFULLY'

Miami Lakes, FL - The Town of Miami Lakes is known for its beautiful tree lined streets, parks, and green spaces. With a commitment to become the most uniformly beautiful municipality in South Florida, the Town adopted its Beautification Master Plan in January 2014.

As a community with numerous elevated expressways passing along its boundaries, the issue of how to address the unsightly appearance of the underpasses was one of the priorities outlined in the Beautification Master Plan. These locations serve as gateways into our Town and are the first impression of the community for many visitors. The Town recently completed the improvements to the underpass and intersection at the Palmetto and Miami Lakes Drive to include the Town’s motto “growing beautifully”. We will continue to enhance the quality of life for Miami Lakes residents and distinct community feel through visionary beautification concepts and conservation of the Town’s natural assets which truly make Miami Lakes unique.

This project is a part of the recent progress the Town has made this year with the Town’s overall Beautification Master Plan efforts. Upcoming beautification projects include landscaping at the intersection of NW 77 Court and NW 154 Street, tree installations along NW 154 Street and future gateway enhancements on NW 67 Avenue and NW 138 Street, NW 67 Avenue and the Palmetto Expressway area and NW 87 Avenue and NW 138 Street.
