TOWN ANNOUNCES MEMBERS OF THE FIRST EVER YOUTH COUNCIL 
 

Miami Lakes, FL -  The Miami Lakes Town Council recognized the members of the first ever Youth Center Council at the May 3rd Town Council Meeting.

The Youth Council is composed of 5 middle school and 8 high school representatives. The middle school members include Savannah Hernandez, Max Concepcion, Ariana Rejas, Mia Concepcion, and Katerina Sliwinski who all attend the Miami Lakes K-8 Center. The High School representatives include Ryan Campos, and David Turino from Barbara Goleman Senior High; Vanessa Perez-Robles and Gabriela Perez-Robles from Monsignor Edward Pace High Sschool; Gabriella Brunetti and Daniella Brunetti from Mater Lakes Virtual Academy; Lauren Paulet from the School for Advanced Studies; as well as Michael Rodriguez of Christopher Columbus High School.

The Youth Council is charged with the responsibility of “governing” the Miami Lakes Youth Center, “The Spot”. The Youth Council will provide its members with opportunities to assume leadership roles, while building valuable skills that will carry into adulthood. The Youth Center Council will meet regularly to discuss the overall progress of the Youth Center, and discuss ideas for future programming and community service events.
