Town Council Take Part in Closing Ceremonies for Soccer and Football

Miami Lakes, FL - The Town Council recently participated in the closing ceremonies for the Miami Lakes United Soccer Club in-house teams as well as the Miami Lakes Optimist Club Flag Football teams on Friday, December 11, 2015 and on Saturday, December 12, 2015, respectively, at Royal Oaks Park.

Miami Lakes United Soccer Club is a non-profit organization, with programs that consist of recreation, academy and travel soccer with games played at Royal Oaks Park Soccer Facility, 16500 NW 87th Avenue in Miami Lakes. Their mission is to make sure the Club has a development structure which will teach and nurture youth players to acquire the correct fundamentals, understand the games tactics and strategies in preparation to attain a soccer scholarship and professional experiences.

More than 140 children participated in the Optimist Club’s flag football program this season. Miami Lakes Optimist Club is autonomous and run by members in our community voluntarily. Miami Lakes Optimist Club runs its programs based on the following core values: Mentoring, Sponsorship, Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Perseverance, Loyalty, Discipline, Leadership, Community, Citizenship.
