Miami Lakes, FL - The Town of Miami Lakes was thrilled to participate in the official opening of Fire Rescue Station 64. On October 23rd, Town and County officials joined the Station 64 crew for the ceremonial “Push-In”. Located on the corner of Northwest 154th Street and 77th Court, Station 64 is a 13,512 square foot Silver LEED Certified, two story, three bay Fire Rescue facility and was completed through the partnership between the State, County and the Town. The new facility will help increase service, improve response time and efficiency, and enable rescue officials to continue to provide for the health, safety and welfare of residents of Miami Lakes and its surrounding communities. Mayor Michael Pizzi stated, "This station will serve as a safe haven for the residents of Miami Lakes, cutting down on response time by several minutes and saving lives in the process."
