Apply NOW for the Miami Lakes Future Leaders Scholarship,
Presented by the Graham Companies

Miami Lakes, FL - The Town of Miami Lakes and its Education Advisory Board are excited to announce we are now accepting applications for the Miami Lakes Future Leaders Scholarship, Presented by The Graham Companies. Two scholarships, in the amount of $1,000.00 each will be awarded to graduating high school seniors who are residents of the Town of Miami Lakes.

All applications must be received by March 30th and will be forwarded to the Education Advisory Board for their selection of two recipients. The Mayor, Town Council and a representative from The Graham Companies will announce the winners at the Town Council Meeting on Tuesday, May 5, 2015.

Interested seniors must submit a typed essay (750 words maximum) explaining in his/her own words how they aspire to make the world a better place. The student must demonstrate academic achievement and community service commitment, and identify future goals. The winners will have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to their school and their community.

A cover sheet must accompany the essay, along with an official sealed high school transcript, and three letters of recommendation from non-relatives, one of which must be from a teacher or school official.
