Water Main Repairs on Red Road to Impact Water Pressure in Miami Lakes

Miami Lakes, FL -Water pressure in Miami Lakes will be impacted due to a Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (WASD) project which will repair portions of the 54-inch water main on Red Road (West Fourth Avenue) in Hialeah.

WASD will shut down the water main and the repairs will be made in stages along Red Road from the Preston Water Treatment Plant located at West Second Avenue and West 13th Street to West 56th Street.

As a result, residents in the Town of Miami Lakes, Hialeah and Opa Locka, will experience lower than normal water pressure during the six-week repair project. These shortages will be noticed most at high-demand usage times like the early morning or later in the evening when the majority of people are taking showers.

Go to Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department’s website at www.miamidade.gov/water for more information.
