Town of Miami Lakes Announces the 8th Annual Senior Games

Miami Lakes, FL - The Town of Miami Lakes and its Elderly Affairs Committee (EAC) announces the return of the 8th Annual Senior Games, which will take place over the course of the month of May.  Anyone 50 or over is invited to participate. The Senior Games kick off with the Track & Field events starting at 8 am on May 10 at Dade Christian School, 6601 NW 167th Street.

“Miami Lakes has a significant elderly population and I am proud to support the efforts of the EAC to encourage our seniors to stay active and engaged in their daily lives,” Councilman Frank Mingo said. “The Annual Senior Games, now in its eighth year, is one way that the EAC furthers those goals. I look forward to seeing many familiar faces bring their “A” game to the competitions."

Dates for the Bunco, Duplicate Bridge, Softball, Canasta, Basketball and Domino tournaments will be announced at a later date.  Registration brochures are now available on the Town’s website at www.miamilakes-fl.gov or by contacting Clarisell De Cardenas, Special Events & Committees Coordinator, at decardenasc@miamilakes-fl.gov or (305) 364-6100.
