Barbara Goleman is one of four Miami-Dade County Public Schools providing the AP/Cambridge Capstone Program, of the 20 participating schools world-wide.

School Board Chair Honored by Local High School
 
Miami Lakes, FL - On March 20th, the Town Council joined in the celebration and dedication of the Perla Tabares Hantman Academy of Excellence Building at Barbara Goleman Senior High School. Barbara Goleman is one of four Miami-Dade County Public Schools providing the AP/Cambridge Capstone Program, of the 20 participating schools world-wide. School Board Chair Hantman was instrumental in bringing the program to both Miami-Dade and Barbara Goleman. The Academy of Excellence Building will host the Program courses which were designed in response to feedback from higher education organizations and aim to help students develop stronger backgrounds in independent research, collaborative teamwork, and 21st-century knowledge and skills. The Program is intended to better equip high school students with the knowledge and skills that are increasingly valued by colleges and universities.
