Town Council Recognizes Miami Lakes K-8 Center Students

Miami Lakes, FL -  On Tuesday, February 11th the Miami Lakes Town Council recognized three Miami Lakes K-8 Center students. When Councilman Tim Daubert participated as Principal for the Day at Miami-Lakes K-8 Center, he had the opportunity to meet two remarkable students that showcased their musical talents that day: Michael Resillez, a 4th grade student, played the piano while Vanessa Bone, also a 4th grade student, sang. These two talented young students were recognized for their passion for music. Unfortunately, Vanessa was unable to attend the Council meeting as she was participating in a ballet recital.

Sofia Palomino, a 3rd grade student at Miami Lakes K-8, entered the Miami-Dade Public Library System's "Make a Bookmark Contest" and was among the winners of the contest, representing the Miami Lakes Branch Library.
