Miami-Dade historian, Robert Carr, one of the original archeologists involved in the Hammock excavation provided a fascinating presentation about the historical background of Madden's Hammock and explained the archaeological significance of the artifacts that were excavated from the site.

"Madden's Hammock is a historical gem located within the Town of Miami Lakes. We are truly fortunate to have the opportunity to showcase artifacts from this site and share our town's heritage with our youth," said Mayor Wayne Slaton. "I encourage all residents to visit Town Hall and come see these artifacts on display".
