Town of Miami Lakes Offers Open Table Tennis

Miami Lakes, FL - Do you enjoy playing table tennis? Looking for something fun to do or to learn something new? The Town of Miami Lakes offers open table tennis play at the Roberto Alonso Community Center, located at 16500 NW 87th Avenue, every Tuesday and Thursday from 12 pm to 3:30 pm for free. All levels and ages are welcome to participate and the Town provides paddles and balls, although participants may bring their own paddles.

"Table Tennis has been an Olympic Sport since 1988. The United States has yet to win a Summer Olympics Table Tennis medal," stated Vice Mayor Manny Cid. "Bringing more awareness to the sport while creating a venue where residents can compete against each other is a fantastic community bonding tool. Hopefully we will see more folks participating in ping pong and secure the first US Olympic medal in the sport".
