MDWASD T-2187, 12" DI Force Main Replacement
The Consent Decree requires improvements to the County’s Infrastructure. MDWASD will be installing a new 12” force main from Pump Station #0333 (15650 Turnberry Drive) within the Don Shula Golf Club Course to Turnberry Dr. and along Miami Lakeway N to Miami Lakes Drive. Project will begin July 2016. Anticipated completion date is scheduled for March 2017. MDWASD PS 331 Miami Lakeway S.
The Consent Decree requires improvements to the County’s Infrastructure. MDWASD will be making improvements to the Pump Station #0331 located on Miami Lakeway S. between Cypress Ct and leaning Pine. Project will begin August 2016. Anticipated completion date is scheduled for Spring 2017. Temp road closures and detour routes along Miami Lakeway S, Leaning Pine, Cypress Ct, Dade Pine, Mahogany and other streets in the area are anticipated. Working hours will be from 9-4 unless otherwise approved by Director of PW.
FPL – Replacement of Transmission Poles along NW 77th Ct
FPL and its Sub contractors will be replacing the Power/utility poles along NW 77th Ct between NW 154th Street and NW 57th Ave. The work will commence Winter 2017 Hours of operation: 9 Am to 4 PM. Lane closures anticipated along perimeter rd (NW 77th Ct).
Canal Stabilization Project
Town Contractor, Enco, LLC, will be performing work to stabilize the canal banks along Golden Glades Canal (NW 170th Street, from NW 78th Avenue to Interstate 75 on the south bank residential side). Many of the drainage canals throughout the Town were built decades ago and have experienced significant bank erosion. Erosion is widespread, occurring adjacent to private properties, Town land and roadways, compromising the structural efficacy. As part of this project, there will be occasional work on the shoulder and lane closures on 77th Ct and 170th St. This is expected to happen between the hours of 9 am to 2 pm and for intervals of no longer than 30 minutes. Project is scheduled for completion in Spring 2017.
NW 154 Street from 87th - 89th
Downrite Engineering is scheduled to begin performing roadway and drainage improvements on NW 154 Street from 87th - 89th Avenue beginning Thursday, March 9th. During this time, all east and westbound lanes of 154th Street will be closed from 87th-89th Avenue. Residents will maintain access to their properties via 153rd Street and 87th Avenue. Permitted work hours are Monday through Friday from 9am-4pm, and is scheduled to be completed within a month. This project is part of the comprehensive set of improvements being made by Lennar that will result in an improved stormwater drainage system for the area, new sanitary force-main and new median. Notices will be distributed to residents in the affected area; a smart sign will also be placed tomorrow informing residents.
