Assistant Town Manager Elected As Vice President Of The Miami-Dade City & County Management Association

Miami Lakes, FL - We are honored and proud to announce Town of Miami Lakes Assistant Town Manager, Andrea M. Agha, was recently elected as Vice-President of the Miami-Dade City and County Management Association (MDCCMA).

MDCCMA was established in 1965 to bring together local government professional administrators to stimulate the highest standards of public service and administration and to promote good fellowship and closer intergovernmental relationships. The primary objectives of the Association are to participate as an organization in community problem solving, to advocate the principles, standards and Code of Ethics of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), and to actively influence and participate in the Florida City and County Management Association and the International City and County Management Association activities. With the goal of developing a strategic workplan that identifies Association-shared challenges, Ms. Agha is ready to mobilize the organization to address the issues.

Ms. Agha has over twelve years of private and public-sector government experience. After obtaining a Master’s degree in Business Administration, graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Miami, Ms. Agha founded a real estate and construction business. In 2010, she began working for the Town of Miami Lakes as a special projects consultant overseeing the implementation of innovative data tracking systems, improving service delivery to residents. With a diverse background, having overseen several of the Town’s departments, Ms. Agha was promoted in 2014 to Assistant Town Manager. In this position, she has lead the charge in developing the Town’s 10-year Strategic Plan which focuses on improving mobility, enhancing the Town’s signature beauty and economic development while implementing strategies to improve transparency and quality of life.

Andrea Agha was recognized as the newly elected Vice President of the Miami-Dade City & County Management Association at the Installation Ceremony held on Friday, June 16, 2017.
