Miami Lakes, FL - The Town and its Elderly Affairs Committee are offering FREE field trips for Miami Lakes residents 55 years and above. The next field trip is scheduled for Saturday, March 4th to History Miami Museum.
History Miami Museum is a premier cultural institution committed to collecting, preserving and celebrating Miami’s history as the unique crossroads of the Americas. Being a part of the prestigious Smithsonian Institution Affiliations Program provides opportunities to share resources in programming, collections, scholarship, and technical expertise – and entitles the Museum to bring world-acclaimed Smithsonian exhibitions to South Florida. Through exhibitions, artistic endeavors, city tours, education, research, collections and publications, the museum works to help everyone understand the importance of the past in shaping Miami’s future. History Miami Museum connects people by telling the stories of Miami’s communities, individuals, places and events.
Transportation is provided to and from Town Hall. The bus will depart from Town Hall at 10:30 AM.; attendees are asked to arrive at 10 AM. Space is limited and reservations are required.
