Milton Updates

 

Hurricane Milton has intensified into a Category 5 storm and is expected to significantly impact the west coast of Florida. Miami Lakes is currently out of the “cone,” but Miami-Dade County as a whole will see some impacts of the storm as it moves eastward and brings wind gusts and rain. Blasting Advisory Board

The Blasting Advisory Board was established to discuss and provide the Town Council with recommendations and possible solutions to ease the effects of rock mine blasting.

Board Details

MEETING SCHEDULE: The Blasting Advisory Board meets on the third Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m., subject to change. Meetings are held in Town Hall (6601 Main Street) in the Community Conference Room, Room 106. Special meetings are called as needed.

MEMBERSHIP: The Blasting Advisory Board shall be comprised of fourteen (14) members, in which each member of the Town Council shall nominate and appoint two (2) individuals.

QUALIFICATIONS: Members of the Blasting Advisory Board shall either (a) be a resident of the Town, (b) be employed in the Town, (c) own a business or property located in the Town, (d) be a non-town resident who has an interest or brings expertise to the Board’s intent as set forth in the resolution.
